In memory of Gary, who I never met, and in memory of my son, Jeremy, who took his life at the age of 29 – many common threads – young men who created an impact on many others – young men who will live on in our memories – young men who are loved, cherished and missed by so many

I dated Gary in college. He was a beautiful person inside and out; fun, introspective, romantic and silly. It breaks my heart that such awesome person has passed. However, he will always be a fond, wonderful memory to me. This site is just lovely. Good luck.

My heart breaks for the loss of such a unique, loving and gentle soul to the world, and especially to his family and friends. I only wish he could have been spared the pain that made him take his own life, but I know there will be a special place in heaven for him, and you’ll see him again one day, smiling, happy and no longer tortured by memories that haunt him. Thank you for sharing his legacy with us, and for the foundation that continues his mission.

I watched this whole memorial Gary created so brilliantly! I also listened to every word of every song, which was also very well thought out. It’s obvious Gary was one very special human being…brilliant…amazing…high-spirited…talented…pop ular…a broken spirit…what a shame…what a loss. My prayer for Gary is that he is resting in peace after creating such a legacacy. And by the way Gary, after viewing this memorial…”I want you to know who I am”…I got a very nice idea and I know who you “are.” Amazing!

I knew Gary from the adult soccer leagues in Harrisburg. My father committed suicide 9 years ago. No one can completely understand until they go through it themselves. My best wishes to the family and want to commend them in their openess and honesty regarding his life and death. I know how difficult it is to deal with the aftermath of a loved one’s suicide. By your actions in developing “The Kids Trust” foundation, his memory and spirit will carry on and hopefully help others. Good luck and my thoughts will be with you.

This donation is made ti The Kids Trust Fund as a Memorial to Gary L. Houck Jr. in special recognition for all that Gary did for TKT and all that Gary stood for with this most worthy cause. I met Gary the winter of 2004/2005 at Sports City. I will never forget his skill, enthusiam, and unselfishness. His laughter and enjoyment of soccer were contagious. Those of us who met him briefly will always remember the excitment he brought to the game and our lives.

I played soccer with Gary at Sports City and I will never forget the way he played the game. The intensity he demonstrated while still having fun was something I’ll always remember. And to Gary, someday we’ll get the Sky Boxes in at Sports City!!!

I was at the event today marking the one year since Gary left the earth. I graciously accepted a grant for Catholic Charities Family Outreach so that we may do the work that Gary set out to do. I believe he is smiling from above knowing that you all have continued what he set out to accomplish. May God Bless your organization with a prosperous future.
